mini 14 using mini 30 magazines?

is it possible? Anybody own both that could do a little experimenting? The 5 round mini 30 magazine might allow 6 or maybe 7 .223 if it would work reliably in the mini 14. My google searching has only showed that mini 14 mags will work in the mini 30.

Ruger needs to make a mini-14 in 50BW, just so we can have the mags

I have a mini 14 in 6.8 and 223 my 6.8 stock mags are marked 6.8 and hold 7 rounds of 223 and work in the mini 14.
