Can they shoot? I want to build a custom varmint rig and I own a ton of remingtons already and I need a action that can handle .223 sized cases and bolt face so I was considering a mini mauser [cz527 / Rem 799(Charles Daly)] But being a custom and a varmint rig I would like great accuracy. So can this be achieved with a mini mauser? Thanks. Sorry if this seems dumb but I have never shot seen or handled a mini mauser.

I have a Zastava mini in 223 that I had fitted with a douglas barrel. My buddy who is a far better shot than myself has shot -2'' groups @ 350yds with it. Thats pretty damn good IMO.
I am thinking of getting one of the Sabatti rifles from Frontier Firearms which also has a mini-action, but with a detachable mag.
