Would you buy 12ga mini shotgun shells ( 1.5"-1.750" )

[] loaded with exotic compositions ( flare / sonic bang / etc )?

Put these in a reasonably priced bundle for backpacking/camping and I'll buy a few (don't care if they're full size or mini).

I'd definitely give em a try. I tried contacting Aguila a year or so ago about a Canadian importer but got no response. I would mainly be interested in birdshot.

I wouldnt use it for bear defense. But to re-iterate what I was saying before. I would be interested in these if they were in the cheap fun catagory.

The exotic loads would be cool in any length as they are hard to get here.

Buckshot, slugs, birdshot even would be cool just for shooting at the range.

I dont shoot clays and imagine they wouldnt be ideal for that. Unless you have REALLY invented something awesome. But it would be great fun for the kind of shooting I do. And for getting the GF to try the shotgun.

I can't imagine why they wouldn't be ok for clays. When I look at my winchester 12ga target loads, almost half of the shell is taken up by the wad.

I would try a few buckshot and slugs and flares and whatnot if the price was right. My nova probably wouldn't feed them, but single feeding them wouldnt' be a problem, even if I have regualr shells loaded in the tube.

I wish we could get some of the lower end(s&b) buckshot and whatnot in quantity for blasting.

With the multitude of proven 12gauge loads, why would anyone consider using smaller, underpowered loads for self defence applications? Pick a proven performer, and yeah, I wouldn't waste my time.

Slugs=fun at the range
buckshot=no overpenetration in case of home defense
birdshot=perfect for grouse/rabbit not destroying the meat is a good thing...
flares=perfect for boating/camping/hunting in case of emergency
