MINI14 Barrel Stabilizers in canada.

Does anyone know where I could find one of the mini 14 barrel stabilizers in canada?
(Accu-Strut, Mo-Bar etc)

I cant seem to find them anywhere.

I could not find them anywhere in Canada either. I ordered two from Mo Rod (http://www.mo-rod.com/). The guy who makes Accu-Struts wouldn't ship to Canada. He said it was for health reasons (???). Maybe he is feeling better now so you could try him as well. I am happy with the Mo Rods. He ships fairly quickly.

hey made 2 for myself, had a friend mill out solid piece of aluminum bar stock fits snug onto the first 3 inches barrel, don't touch the rest going back fits over barrel to look like a silencer, just out shot a 2000$ ar with aimpoint and larue and magpul everything on it lol lol.
would be easy if you had a neighbor that was a gunsmith with a lathe or something...wink wink

anytime you want to shoot mine gimme a shout on here and we will go to the range

Lol. He is so busy it would be a long wait. For what its worth, I'll just buy one.

How did your mini compare for accuracy before and after you installed the stabilizer?

I just got a reply back from mo-rod. They wont ship to canada. :(

Thanks Rugerman. I just sent them an email with an order.

Did you find an improvement in accuracy?

12 shots at 100 m. after installing Mo-Rod. This is with a 6.8 SPC Mini. Definitely an improvement in accuracy. Not as much as they claim but it does help. I find that I can shoot rapid fire without a change in poi as the device seems to really act as a heat sink. It definitely warms up the more you shoot. I don't get those random shots that inexplicably move away from the group anymore.

Sorry to hear they won't ship. I found the two outfits I contacted, MoRod and Accustrut to be just a little eccentric. Accustrut wouldn't ship because he said he was not well. (But he does continue to ship in the US.) The second guy, (Mo Rod) wouldn't ship until my International Money order cleared his bank. He said his bank had never seen an International money order from Canada and they weren't sure how to cash it (???). However he did ship two to me and I am happy with them.

5 shots at 100 m with the same rifle. The gun is definitely more consistent. I also had a trigger job done by Le Jarret so this is a factor as well.

My mini, a new one, shoots like your group with nosler bullets. It also likes the 55 fmj American Eagle or white box stuff too. For more precision, I use my .223 or .243 in bolt action.

I would never make a claim that my minis were precision rifles. I think for quick shots at distances under 100 m on deer, coyotes, etc. they are a great rifle. Definitely for shots longer than that I would use one of my bolt rifles. Love 'em for getting out of the truck or off the quad and getting them on target quickly. The newer minis are definitely an improvement over the old ones. Stabilizer bars and trigger jobs are a huge help as well. They don't cost a lot either.

I have noticed that everyone wants to shoot them. :D

This is a duplicate post from a Mini-14 thread I started that pretty well mirrors this one. I found someone that will ship the "Har-Bar" stabilizers to Canada.

Hey. I contacted Rodger at Har-Bar ( http://www.rogco.biz/buynowsparepart.html). He was incredibly helpful and informed me that the Har-Bar (same thing) can be brought into Canada if it is purchased as two separate transactions. That is do not buy the bar and clamps, buy the bar THEN the clamps. This way the purchase does not exceed the $100 export limit.

Total cost of the purchase works out to be $223 shipped

Hello Nathan, and thank you for your interest in this product.

I am unable to export this item in its complete form as it exceeds the $100.00 limit for exporting with out a license. Buying the Har-Bar in separate pieces is the only legal way for me to ship it to you.

This involves two separate shipments, and shipping costs. The $159.00 price is for the USA only, and free shipping which is $2.43 in the USA. Shipping to Canada is $26.95. Two shipments will be $53.90. I can not ship free out side of the USA.

http://www.rogco.biz/buynowsparepart.html This link will take you to the page where you can acquire this product as spare parts. I have made this extra effort to help mini-14 & 30 owners around the world to accurize their rifle with this simple yet sturdy accurizer.

Thanks again for your interest in my product Nathan. The total cost of the spare parts includes the shipping expence for each order.
