Minimum parallax adjustment for side-focus scopes, SFP vs FFP

It seems from looking at a number of manufacturers, that side-focus FFP scopes don't go down to less than 50 yds. However I've seen side-focus SFP scopes that go down to 10 yds. Is this an oversight/choice, or is it a limitation/consequence of the optical design?

Nope, just depends on the manufacturer. March FFP scopes can focus down to a few yards.
