I'm looking at a Minox ZA5 HD 1.2-6x scope with a German #4 reticle to mount on my Winchester M70 chambered in .458 Win Mag.
I know absolutely nothing about this brand and am looking for feedback from those of you that have used them. Are they reliable and of decent quality?

I have not owned a rifle scope made by Minox but the best pair of binoculars I ever had was made by Minox.

Minox optics are fairly reliable, given that the warranty is non-transferable and good for 10 years vs. lifetime on many premium brands, I probably wouldn't buy a used one.

I bought a used Minox 2-10x50 scope, love it. Great glass. Currently have it a 22 magnum, and as such it does not suffer any recoil, so won't speak to that.

I haven't played with their scopes, but have bought their binoculars for my wife and daughter over the years.
Respectable glass for a great price point.
For a DG rifle, I would end to go with a more reputable scope such as a Trijicon 1-4, Leupold VX-3 1.5-5x20 (the DG scope by which all others are compared), or Swarovski 1-6 (but the Z-6i is a top end scope and not inexpensive!). I own both of the first two and have very happy with them on my 376 and 416 (not to mention the Leupolds on lever action rifles for short range work)
