So I went to my LGS today....things got switched up at work and I decided to take a lunch break (which I don't do) I went to the store to buy a knife set for my son for Xmas. While there I came across a ruger m77 tangsafety in 30-06. 1975 manufacture 3 rounds fired. Mint!!!! Gotta be 97% perfect. I couldn't believe it !! Well I didn't go there to buy a rifle...but I couldn't leave without it... and now I gotta go back for the knife set because they hadn't arrived at the store yet.

Score. I had a similar score with my 1991 manufactured 7x57 tang safety -- NIB. It's one of my favorite rifles.
I had tang safeties in 257 Roberts and 338 Win Mag. Both were nice rifles. - dan
First off, great score, congratulations!
I've had a thing for the tang safety Ruger 77's since the late 1980's. My first one was a minty one in .300 Win Mag from one of my local gun shops. Only traded it off after getting a Browning Abolt composite stalker as it has a 26" barrel vs the 24" one on the Ruger.
Later, for a while, had a tangsafety in .243 Win but it eventually went off in a trade.
However, quite a few years ago scored a minty tangsafety in 7x57mm off the EE here, which I still have & enjoy to this day. 
Good on you for giving that oldie [but a goodie] a new home!
