Is anyone carrying these?
There was a large bunch of the Polish (unissued?) ones back a few years ago and was wondering who may still carry these things. I want one. Prefer the solid wood stocks (not laminate).

Last bunch of Polish M-44's were imported at least 10 to 15 years ago, they only surface when owners who bought at that time sell them off. Even the plentifull Russian ones are running out, since Former Soviet Arms Depots are according to Importers emptied out of the M38/M44 carbines.
 
had a brand spanking new one only 100 rounds out of it and i sold it this year for half of what i should have :( paid 179$ at epps couple yeard back it was a 1946 production m44
 
Most of M44 are gone from warehouses all across former USSR. Our neighbor USA and European country's bought most of them. I might be bringing some in next year or late autumn. I always thought that people would want 91/30 I guess there is some that want m44.

Good luck searching for one. Check EE frequently.

I have actually been hunting for what seems a rare beast, an M-38 dated 1939,1940 or 1941. I have seen 5 in my life, all in mismatched M44 stocks, and all dated 1943. They looked like, well, Soviet War-Time Rushed Product. Enough said. You could use the barrel as a backscratch on one I saw, it was so unfinished (there were easily noticable and tactile circular ridges going down the whole barrel).
If anyone has an M-38 of those dates, let me know, I am interested. I really don't mind if it is in an M-44 stock.
 
I don't know Drachenblut, don't limit yourself. I got a 1943 m38 in a wartime stock from JP in the spring and it's not rough at all. It's no Mauser or Lee, but it's very nice. Counterbored, but no import marks.
