Mis-fires with my M&P 9mm

Another reason not to buy an MP! LOL

All I can afford is that MFS s**t! LOL

Saves me having to reload though, and my Glock eats it all day long! ;)

I think blaming the M&P is a little premature at this point. I'm a Glock guy through and through, but bad ammo is often the case and it appears to be the cause in this one. I'll hold off on bashing S&W until there are significantly more cases of such failures.

All the other failures not good enough? LOL

And just so everyone knows, I am just pokin fun at the MP owners. I have owned one myself also, unfortunately. ;)

The problem with other "failures" especially when its on a forum or word of mouth, is that you never know the skill of the shooter or the validity of the facts in the story. Short of witnessing the problem first hand or seeing video, there's a lot of variables that could be to blame. The most often variable is the user.

I do agree that snapped slide locks, sights falling off, magazines dropping during firing and all the rest of it isn't exactly great for sales. Personally I'll always shoot Glocks and have no desire or need to change. The M&P and all the other Glock wannabe's offer nothing over the original regardless of how well they do or do not run. However, having observed shooters who have experienced stoppages with all makes and models, I'm hesitant to blatantly bash the "operational" integrity of any of them without first examining the gear(parts break and guns are sold with broken parts) and the shooter. Mechanically, as far as ergonomics, ease of operation and design go. I will and have openly bashed several makes and models. Of course the caveat to all of this is the intended purpose/role for which said firearm is being used.

Where are all these stories of mags falling out, sights falling off, etc? I've never heard any of them. (I'm not calling you out, I'd like to read them for interest sake). Only reason I can see a mag falling out is if it's not seated properly (which, with ten rounds in the mag, is quite possible! It's a ##### to slam that mag in there if it's full, with the slide closed that is).

I've put over 15,000 rounds down my service weapon and have not had a SINGLE issue. No sights falling off, no mags falling out, no broken slide stops, etc. (haven't seen coworkers have issues, either).

I'm a glock fan myself, as well, but the M&P isn't a bad gun either.

But at the end of the day, the "best" gun is the closest one to you that goes bang when you pull the trigger, IMO
