Mitchel's Mausers?

.
Their ad does say K98-M48, and "it's over 55 years old." A Yugo M48 would be over 55 years old and the M48 is a derivative of the K98 Mauser so while not really lying, they are a bit deceptive.

Maybe it is like "poetic license" where you can make up your own descriptions. Something like the Swedish m/94 Carbines stamped G33-50 and the Swedish m/38 short rifles being sold as Carbines. How about the Enfield Tankers and other variations? Mitchells would not be the first ones to play loose with firearms descriptions and heritage.

From going through some of the U.S. Gun Forums, the comments about Mitchells are not really flattering in most cases, and does not inspire confidence in their products or service.

There's more to it than that. The ad shows a wartime K98k, and only in a small inset photo do they depict an M48. they also call them "WW2 era Mauser Rifles" in the tag line of their ad copy, which is a flat-out lie. They are really cold-war era guns.

they were NOT made on German tooling. The tooling to make these at Kragujevac was of Serbian manufacture.

And they HEAVILY imply the rifle is made in 1943 by calling it 1943-crested. The crest may have been adopted by Yugoslavia in 1943, but the gun was made in 1950+.

To me this all adds up to EPIC FAIL.
