Mixed up my small primers... Can't tell them apart

CCI small primers , have not reloaded for a bit and have my primers all set in a tube but forgot if they were rifle or pistol..any way of telling them apart??

You could try using calipers on the edge of the cup and use the thickness to compare to the nominal number for the different CCI primers.

Well seems they are now small pistol by default!

I've done the exact same thing before and from a safety standpoint am not concerned using SR in a pistol but certainly not the other way around.

I used large pistol with rifle loads back in the days. There should only be large and small primers with magnum option. I wouldn't be worry if your loads aren't hot

So by default small pistol is best option and should work in 9mm / 45

Did you measure them? There is a significant different in thickness...

Just did and both are .34 mm wall...
Small rifle no.205 and small pistol no 105

Will use them up in the 9mm
And make sure to keep separate in future..
