I bought a MK 4 #1 with all great wood ,but the bolt is not numbered to the gun ,it's been refinished but is really good looking rifle. The bolt is stainless and has a hole in the bottom of the bolt handle(has a 0 bolt head) from what
markings are left under the bolt lever I can see M47 1943 .

Some one has put a CHASE peep site on it! I would like to find a MK4 rear sight for it! I would be able to send a five round AK mag and cash for one!

Anybody? This one has the required front finger push and the barrell jumps back.

There are two common types of rear site for the No.4 Rifle. There is the Mk1 "micrometer" site that adjusts with a dial at the top (like a micrometer), then there is the Mk3 Ladder site, which adjust by sliding (like a ladder). Yours is a british made No.4 Mk1 (not Mk4 No1), so the micrometer site would be correct for it. Check the EE and Ebay, they pop up time to time.

Post some pics of the rifle, is it your first enfield?
