If you do not have the proper MLE stock at all, find a chopped SMLE stock and go from there.
Barrel on the MLE was 5 inches longer than on the SMLE and it was a HEAVIER barrel.
That`s the bad part.
The good part is that the MLE stock left close to 4 inches of barrel poking out the front.
The ACTIONS were identical as far as the stocking-up was concerned.
Forestocks for the LM Mark II, Mark II*, MLE Mark I and Mark I* interchanged.
SMLE forestock is a couple inches short.
