mmmm..new gun smell!!

Just picked up my Savage 10FP in .223 as my starter rifle to get into the precision game and murder some gophers. Now I just gotta research into some bases, rings,bi pods, and factory ammo that would work out best. I picked it up for a awesome $599.88 and it only took the store 6 days to get it in!!!

Mank sure ur bipod is a pivot type. They cost about $120. About $40 more than a non pivot but it makes a huge difference.

What would be the best size? When I'm out shooting gophers I would probably sit and shoot.

I say if your going to sit and shoot get yourself a Bog-pod tripod for gophers and then get yourself an Atlas bi-pod if shooting prone or shooting targets

You will amazed how well that Savage 10 FP shoots. The tupperware stock is deceiving. It's surprisingly good, but other shooters in the ORA Precision Rifle matches upgrade them upon receiving their income tax return $$ .

I too am amazed at their accuracy levels. You will be pleased! Now you need to work up some handloads and post a range report!

That is a good gun for your needs and at a good price as well. Hungry is correct income tax money is best used on gun upgrades.
