Looking into converting one of my mosins into a replica snipers rifle. I've seen a number of options online, plenty of them quite cheap in cost. Anyone have experience with any of these replica scopes? Where had you purchased them and how well are they holding up?

Thanks!

If you are going the PU route, I would recommend just purchasing a PU sniper and be done with it. There are plenty of real mosin nagant 91/30 still available around the 6-700 price range. I tried converting an ex-sniper to a PU sniper and it did not turn out well at all. Plus I had a mad gunsmith as he tried to drill out the holes that were welded on. Now if you were to try and make a PEM sniper then that is different, but those ones I believe are only for the HEX receivered Mosin Nagants. I purchased my mosin nagant scope online from ebay along with the mount for my ex-sniper conversion. If you are careful you can buy a real PU scope for a reasonable price (around 2-300), but again I would recommend the PU sniper already set up. As for the PEM those ones are pretty expensive for the original in the thousand+ range. If you wanted to get one ebay would probably be your best bet, unless one of the retailers stocks them. You could always ask corwin arms they are one of the best retailers here.

You won't be even getting a original PEM side mount for a grand much less a scope and rifle.Harold
