MN M44 rear sight base questions

Hey fellas,

Curious I haven't seen and schematics or exploded views for the rear sight base on the m44 rifle.

Is there a 3/8" dovetail on the M44 that the sight base slides onto - or is that only for the 91/30?

All my manuals are basic Mosin. Doesn't say anything different for M44. On examination, the 91/30 has two pins to drive out, then knock back towards the butt, the m44 has only one pin. I've never taken it off of the M44.
