Hi guys, I got this nice pistol from D&L a few weeks ago and started modding it a lot,
I made some grips out of bubinga, I made a brass barrel band and trigger. I ordered the steel breech and muzzle brake and made a power adjuster.
I polished the tube, barrel and breech and nickel plated them. Some valve and port work and polishing as well.

That's the metal rear sight from D&L too. I did a lot work on the trigger mechanism as well and it feel just perfect now especially with this brass trigger I made, night and day. I also made a barrel shroud for the 24 inch barrel but...As for the power, well it's right at 500 fps with crosman 14.3 gr, a weaker spring and the short barrel seen in these pics, the longer barrels put this pistol beyond 590 fps and the 24 is close to 700 so i'll keep them off and the stronger hammer spring as well until I decide to get a rifle stock grip. here are some pics.

Pretty nice but keep it under 500. It will be restricted even with a stock. Once a pistol, always a pistol. I could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time.

boy I sure hope that's not true, but you know if it is...I kind of got this just for plinking in the basement so no biggie, I like the way it looks and feels with the short barrel.

He's right, if you want to legally make it a 500+fps rifle you will have to get a crosman 2250 main tube for it. Stupid huh, but that's what keeps us safe, if it wasn't for rules like this it would be absolute chaos here in Canada.

The only one in the 2240/50/60 series not considered a pistol is the 2260. The other 2 are, and will always be a pistol no matter what stock/barrel length you change it to. The 2240/2250 are listed in the FRT as pistols and their opinion is "once a pistol, always a pistol".

That's one beautiful gun! And your just starting out?
Love the grips, you must have woodworking experience?
