model 12 sling mount

I would like to mount a sling on my model 12, I have no problem attaching mounts to the stock but what about on the barrel end

Find the type of sling that is just a cinch loop. Remove the barrel band and mag plug and slid the loop over the mag tube the re assemble. This won't be a quick detach deal. Seen a few old bush guys do this Models 12 and Mossberg 500's. It does not seem to interfere with the pump.
