Model 1887 hunting?

I'm curious to know if anyone has actually gone hunting with a model 1887 shotgun, if you did what did you get?

I'm guessing you mean the Norinco. Somebody has bought 'em. Marstar is sold out of 'em. Bet it'd make a reasonably good grouse gun. Mind you, the mag would have to be pinned to 2 in Ontario. Doesn't appear to have any way of putting a plug in.

I have one of the chiappa 1887s with 28 barrel and chokes and am planning on hunting with it in the fall.It handles real nice.

Sure there is - remove the mag tube and put the plug in behind the follower. All it takes is a screw driver and a couple of minutes.
