I got a new to me marlin 1897 texan 22, in mint condition. while shooting it today it seemed to have some ejection problems, every now and again the gun wouldn't through the spent cases out of the action and if I wasn't carefull she would jam with the next case . using an older 39a that gun seems to really through the spent cases away from the rifle , is the ejector on my new 1897 texan the same as the one on the older 39a ?
