model 31 Remington problems

Have a chance at a model 31 16 gauge . Some forums have listed problems feeding shells . It is an older gun which might be had relatively cheap . Honestly , I'd prefer an 870 but would also consider the model 12 . I have had both of the later 2 with no issues in 12 or 20 . This one just came up . I want something reliable . I was told the 31's are well built but , if i need parts are they available in Canada and where ? And is it worth the trouble or should I stick with the other 2 ?

I've got a 31 in 16 gauge and have never had a problem with it. In fact, it's one of my favorite shotguns.

I have a 31 in 12G and it has the smoothest action of any pump gun I've ever shot. If you can buy one cheap, do it. You can resell it easily if you don't like it.

They are nice shotguns but yes parts are a problem if needed . I prefer the model 12's

My 31 is a great gun. I favour my M12s though due to sentimental reasons.

I've got a 31 in 16 gauge and have never had a problem with it. In fact, it's one of my favorite shotguns.

NO issues with any of mine either and one is a 16ga.

My 16ga is flawless as well. It's actually the only Model 31 I've kept!

I had a 31 in 12 ga and never had any issues with it. Very smooth and functioned perfectly.
