On sunday i ended up at a collectables show. I purchased a model 330 W.R.Weaver scope with weaver rails for what i thought was a bargoon!! Appears to have little wear and is very bright and crisp. looks like it would be for a 22 but was told it was used as a sniper scope. Is this true? does anyone know the years they were produced? Many thanks!!!

If it was purchased for military use, the markings should indicate this. Don't know when 330s were first introduced, think it was in the '30s, certainly were made into the '40s. I think a 330 was a M72 in US service. They are brighter than one would think, looking at how small they are. I have one on my simulated 1903A4 sniper rifle, and it is a useful scope. What reticle does yours have?

Thanks

Thanks did a quick search on net. You were dead on the dates and rifle. The reticle is a fine crosshair style. Seems to be a nice scope now i just need something suitable to mount it to.
