Just acquired a well worn Lakefield Mossberg 500 A with a "J" serial number. It has a smooth barrel with a bead sight on the end. Can I change out the barrel to something ribbed or a slug barrel something with a choke? Any idea on the age? Any info or sites to get some info would be appreciated.
