Model 7 .243 Worth?

Hey guys, thanks for the info so far. I have a pic now, and the serial number is 78028**. Minus the scope and mounts, what do you think it is worth, now that you have more information.

I would pay some were in the 500$ range as a hunting gun ,,if someone was to buy it to flip it thy would want to pay a little less ,,to the right guy it may go as high as 600$ with no scope ,,,,I think the Wooden stock ones are pretty and a little more desirable..but that is just me ,,,Dutch

pic is too dark to see anything. Any marks on it? Why is the seller removing the scope mount base, it's worth peanuts? A guess in the dark would be $500.

ya I never understood why the sellers want to remove the mounts after thy have been put on a rifle ,for the price of them you would think thy would stay with the gun ,unless the guy was going to buy the same gun again ,,Dutch

I just got a 700 that the guy stripped the mounts off . Kind of annoying, now I have to seek out bases and mounts.

See now if it was me, I'd happily loose that scope mount, put a pic rail on it, mount a small Leupold (1.75-6X or a 2-7X) in QD rings, and have a ghost ring in my pocket, and that would make a dandy little hunting rig. I concur on the $500 assessment.
