Model 70 All Weather SS

$70 dollars out of my shooting budjet for brass. Way too cheap for that and if I was not it would be 300wsm brass but seriously thats 200 30cal bullets from the classifieds or two pounds of powder, or...

So you are complaining about 1-12" twists not working for your 500yd shooting expectations, then state that spending $70 to use quality brass for 800 firings is unreasonable for you. Been reloading a long time and range brass won't see the chamber on my rifles. Too many unknowns, and it doesn't work for 500yd shooting (at least beyond plinking).
Something doesn't jive there.
Fill your boots man.

Range brass works great and if a load is not accurate with mixed brass... wasnt a good load to begin with. Had a savage 112 in 223 that would shoot one inch 10 shot groups at two hundred yards with mixed brass 55gr v-max and 26gr of imr4064 measured by volume. You can spend more if you want and fret about a chamber (just clean your brass) but throat erosion is what puts an end to the accurate life of my barrels.
