Model 70 Coyote Lite firing pin spring frustration

The Tubb replacement that supposedly fits all Model 70's is FAR too long (308 bolt) and I can't seem to find the "right" one. I'll probably just cut it to fit, I suppose. Would any of you have better insight into this" It seems strange that only one spring is available, unless they are intended to be cut to fit - nothing I have come across indicates this is the intention.
