Model 70 stock and barrel interchangeability?

I have a post '64 Winchester model 70 "lightweight" push feed rifle. The serial number puts it somewhere around 1987 production. It started life as a .280 Rem but the chamber has been reamed to .280 Ackley Improved (my favorite big game cartridge.) I bought the rifle with a very nice Wildcat composite stock. I like everything about it accept the fact that it's push feed.

If I bought a newer CRF model 70 that's chambered for .270, .280, or 30-06 is there any reason I couldn't swap the stock and barrel from the old push feed rifle to the new CRF rifle? I would then put the walnut stock and the barrel from the new rifle onto the old push-feed action and sell it as a "franken-gun" or keep it for a spare.

I guess the other option would be to just buy a CRF model 70 in .280 and have it reamed to .280 AI, then I'd only have to swap the stock.

In any case, will stocks interchange between push feed and CRF Model 70's?

Will barrels interchange?

The crf actions need an extractor cut in the barrel. Might have to get a some threads added or removed to get the headspace correct. If you are going to pay for all that I would just get a new gun.

Push feed and CRF is not the deciding factor on Winchester stocks, it is whether you have a one piece or two piece floorplate, with a one piece floor plate the trigger guard is integral with the bottom metal a two piece has an additional action screw underneath the back of the floor plate on the front of the trigger guard.
