Model 700 Vs. Model 7 mounting system

Hello all. Could someone tell me if the mounting system on a model 700 is the same as a model 7 remington...I have bases and rings here I just removed from a Model 700...wondering if they will fit onto a Model 7...or does the model 7 have completely different drillings and setup.

You will need a different set of bases for the Model 7. I believe the front base is the same but the rear one is different.

I think you'll also find that the earlier mod 7's had single screw holes in the rear receiver bridge...the new ones have two.
