Interesting for an entry level shooter. As much as I want to hate the 783, initial reports say they shoot better than they should.
The 16.5" barrel makes me think they are marketing towards the "hog hunter" crowd. I could see this being more suitable for the 308 or 300AAC but why would they do this for a .223 and 6.5CM? Sure in the US you can put a supressor on the end and have a decent OAL, but apparently its not easy in some states to get a supressor and that cuts out the canadian market. They should be offering a 20"-22" option for the .223 and 6.5CM as it limits their potential market, but that's just my opinion
