Model 870 & Red Dot Scope ?

I sometimes use the 870 for deer on the BIL's farm. At present it has a only a rib for aiming which does not work well with failing eyes. I'm not real fond of the plastic clip on luminous tings that are available.

Has anyone found a scope mount that would fit the 870 possibly clips to or makes use of the existing rib.

If not are there any suggestions..

For the price of putting a scope on your gun, why not buy a rifled barrel with sights.

I have some real problems with my eye sight which ccurred as a result of shingles on my right cornea. What I did was buy a cantlever multi purpose barrel with screw in chokes. I put on a Bushnell Shot gun scope and am good to go for deer or turkey.

Most places like Lebaron and Basspro will tell you they don't exist. I had to write Remington USA and give them a sob story about my situation and how much I love their 870 and they gave me a contact in Quebec City who looked after me.

I am sorry but I can't remember the Company or dealer in Quebec that assisted me.
