Model 88 value .308 - 1967

Post 64 production ( basket weave checkering) makes it less desirable as does the cut stock. I would guess around $600-$700. But I would sell the extra mag seperately personally. Might bring close to $200 for that. At least I have seen them advertised for that. Others may disagree.

You didnt mention calibre and admittedly I didnt look close enough ...
Magazine will return a premium from someone missing theirs.(mentioned above)
Cut stock is the fuggly wart, but you might tickle someones fancy who wants one.
Regards,
Rob

thanks I updated the post its a 308. Im not sure why my dad cut the stock I my guess is because he was 6'4" any was thinking to add some length but who knows. i have been looking for a stock with no luck

Looks like the barrel was cut too. It seems short, and that's a Williams ramp front sight. I don't believe Winchester used those on factory production.

Google tells me they came in two barrel lengths, 22" rifle and 19" carbine, but all the pics I can find of the carbine model are plain stocks (no checkering) and have a barrel band sling swivel up front.

If its been cut then it would make sense to double check its still over 18", wouldn't want to be caught selling it if its under...

OP do you know if it still has the "normal" Length Of Pull since the stock has been messed with?

I believe Boyd's Stocks in the USA make a Winchester Model 88 stock.

Okay, I just checked Boyd's for you, it appears they no longer make a model 88 stock.

Sorry......:(

Sell it complete with the two mags for $700.00, make the buyer pay shipping.

It would make an awesome truck gun for someone, or a good restoration project.

Your barrel appears to be a carbine length. Probably 19" or 20" in length. A tape measure will ensure this........:)

Other than the stock addition, the sling swivels aren't factory. And as had been pointed out, the front sight isn't original, they were sweated-on in production. List it for what you think is fair. I sold one, with a repaired stock, at a show for $650 last fall.
