Model 88 value

Just curious what the value of a Winchester model 88 pre 64 in .308 and in very good condition would be??

I've seen really good win 88s go for $750 or more.
The semi win 100s aren't quite as popular as the lever model and good ones are around the $600 mark.
We've owned both the 88s and 100s in pre and post 64 editions in 308 win.
Other than cut checkering vs pressed scroll design stocks there was no difference between pre & post.
They started making the 88s in 55 and the 100s in 61.
Generally the lever model 88s were more accurate than the 100s.

My memory is playing havawck with me on this note.
Seems there are a few differences at least with the detachable magazine configurations.

No difference in barrelled action just wood so the pre 64 thing really doesn't come into play a 308 would have to look like new for659-750
