I'm posting some photos and info on some hand guns that are in my father's estate that the family hope to sell before the government puts any bans in place. I'll post them one at a time. We're just trying to get an idea of value before they go on the sale sections. I know time is tight, so they'll go up fast. We would appreciate any help you could give us. There are some milsurp and some civilian that I'll post in the pistol and revolvers section. I'm sorry for the poor info. Serial number 557173 is within the range for 1918 if I'm not mistaken. It should have a dual tone magazine where the upper half is silverish and the bottom black. I've watched a few similar pistols at the recent auctions go in the $1000 range give or take a couple hundred.

Yes, the magazine is a two tone like you said. My brother tried to look it up and thought it was 1917,but it's probably 1918.

Probably worth a good deal north of $1000 if all matching and correct.

Just a note that the two colt 1911's in the last switzer's auction were north of 2k, while in better condition, neither were ww1 dated

I sold one in the same condition 3-4 years ago that were ww1 date and correct matching for 2.2 k$
