Modern Sporter - Build Discussions

OK! now we are getting somewhere! This is awsome news.
Anyone have range time/data on the MRA pencil yet?
I think with an Aero Precision mount and TR24 I might land under 7lb.

Maple ridge pencil barrel w/ thread protector 26 oz
titanium gas block and gas tube 1 oz
Brigand Arms hand guard 5 oz
Titanium BCG 8 oz
Brigand arms grip 2 oz
BAD Sabertube 5 oz
buffer and spring 5 oz
LPK 5 oz
Slick side receiver set 20 oz

You're at 4 lb 13oz

Top buid: Trigger Tech adjustable trigger, Elftmann push button safety, Strike Industries bolt catch, Strike Industries Advanced buffer tube, Fortis QD endplate, Magpul CTR buttstock.

Middle build: Geissele SSA-E trigger, Radian Talon 45° safety, Strike Industries bolt catch, PWS Mod 2 Enhanced buffer tube and endplate, Magpul CTR buttstock.

Bottom build: Stag Arms A2 rifle kit. The buttstock is a black UTG simply because I hate the regular greyish colored A2 stocks but the rest of the build is all Stag.

How does the radian safety feel with the ball detent setup? Was thinking of getting one but wanted feedback first. My DPMS milspec safety is stiff but would soften up with use I think.

Finally got around to posting a picture. Absolutely beautiful and assembly was effortless.

Very nice, but where are the rest of the pieces?

I'm going with a Mk12 junior build:

Maple Ridge Pencil barrel 1/8 18.6"
PRI front sight block (so heavy!)
Stripped down PRI handguard
BCM lower parts kit
BCM A5 buffer tube kit
Mapul STR stock
Stag Arms NiB BCG (no MPI inspection markings?)
Nikon 1000 1-4x scope
Aero Precision light weight scope mount (3.3 oz)
Rear sight will eventually go something from with ARMS (#40L for authenticity, or #71 for economy)

I've been really struggling to decide which trigger to go with. I was thinking the colt Canada mil spec but I couldn't find anything about those triggers having any sort of work or refinement done. I just refuse to spend $500 on a trigger though.
