First off, yes it is another one of those posts. I like many others on these forums couldn't make my mind up as to whether or not I should build my own or buy one and leave it the way it is. So my identical twin and I did both.
I bought a a 22" m305, sent it off to user 45ACPKING (fantastic guy) and had him put on the following
Total cost: $1500ish +tax etc
My twin bought a heelstamped Polytech m305 with 22" barrel and a standard spring guide, it also has a slotted handguard.
Cost:$500
See for yourself our results from today with Hornady Steel match 155gr (once we make our own loads expect these to improve) at 100yds.
No back rest & a stool for a front rest

- 18.5 inch criterion Medium Chrome Lined Barrel
- USGI Springfield Bolt with USGI guts
- USGI Stock
- Match Grade spring guide
- CASM gen || scope mount
- Bushnell mil dot 10x40 scope
