Sep 9, 2011 #5 Modified on my 870, and I can shoot rifled/foster slugs (the lead ones, cheapo packs of like 5 for $4 or less) pretty darn accurately. As tjhaile said, the Mod is better than the improved for slugs, and has been stated so by many other shooters So let 'er rip!
