Anybody out there know where I could have a Remington 20"12 Gauge Bbl.modified to take screw chokes and what it would cost ?

Thanks,

If your gun is choked anything more open than mod.,forget it.There is not enough material to work with.Even with thin wall tubes.I would recommend finding a used barrel with tubes.Don't trade- in your barrel ,the gun is usually worth more with the original barrel (untouched).

If the walls are too thin on the barrel I silver solder on an extension that is threaded for chokes. I then taper it down to the barrel diameter blend it in and touch up blue it to try and match the barrel.

There is plenty of metal in any Remington barrel to have choke tubes installed. How you do you think Remington chokes them in the first place and their chokes are certainly not thin-walled.

Briley, Teague and Precision ALL put choke tubes into barrels far thinner than anything Remington ever produced.
