Modifying magpul forearm for 8.5 grizzly

I'm gonna try cutting down a magpul forearm so that it will fit on my grizzly 8.5. Any suggestions? I expect it might take a couple attempts and once I get it to fit I'm thinking I might need to come up with a way to reinforce it due to the amount of plastic I will have to cut out.

I just hammered it on. I don't think I cut anything.

I think I'm going to need to. There's no way for it to cycle completely the barrel band gets in the way also with the pump all the way forward it would extend past the end of barrel.

Cut it in half, removing unwanted length...and have a body shop guy plastic weld the two halves back together.

Actually, make 2 cuts - the centre section being the length you want removed, then get it plastic welded.
