For the $250 mark you can get much better.... Crossfire is made in China and overpriced by about $200.
Nikon Prostaff 2 (Philippines), Redfield Revolution (USA), and Tradex has some NOS Bushnell Elite (Japan) for that price.

But do any of them carry the same kind of warranty as vortex

Lifetime? Yes, the ones I mentioned all do.
I can also tell you I've never needed warranty on any of them that I have owned, they haven't failed in anyway.
Buy the best scope for your money, not the best warranty.

Well I pretty much have my mind made up but I will consider others. That being said buying a good warranty is worth wild. Vortex being over the counter makes a big difference. Bushnell customer service sucks and (in my experience) i had to mail my scope to the U.S just for them to email me back and say i would have to pay for the repairs!

Well if you think $250 for a Chinese scope is a good deal, have at er....be better off buying 4 or 5 BSA/NC Star/Tac Vector/Tasco etc which are also all Chinese made, but priced like Chinese scopes should be $50-$70...

It's not over the counter. Mail to Ontario, they send it south, back to Ontario, then back to you. Living this arrangement right now.

Thanks for coming out

Do you really think a $250 Chinese made scope is on par with a $250 Japanese/US/Philippines made scope?
You could at least step up to a Diamondback if you are dead set on Vortex, they are made in the Philippines.
Prophet River puts Leupold VX1's on sale for $289 shipped and those even put the Diamondbacks to shame....make the Crossfires look like airsoft lol.
I don't think you know what you are getting into with that lowest end stuff. Complete waste of $250.

I could at least step up. Dude calm the hell down
If I must explain my self fine. I live on a tight budget. I also happen to like this model scope from having used it prior. So if it's OK with you I think I will get the scope I WANT. If this some how offends you feel free to buy me a scope or go find some other thread to sh!t on

I took a gun on trade that had a Crossfire 2 on it, took it off and noticed the tube was crushed from overtightened rings, sent it in and had a new replacement in 7 business days.

I mailed mine this morning. Vortex emailed me back to say they now do some of the work in Canada so it may be quicker than the description on their website. Either way I'm hunting Thursday with a Leopold because it still works.

I had 2 Crossfires returned for warranty exchange because they wouldn't hold zero. I sold the third one before I even bothered mounting it. It's a $50 scope with a $200 warranty.

Save yourself some headache and time. Wait until you find a sale on a Bushnell Elite 3200. You won't regret it. I have 2, one on a 7mm Rem Mag and one on my 10/22. I paid less than $300 for each of them.

If you insist on a Vortex, save some money and step up to at least the Viper line. It just *might* last half as long as an Elite 3200...if you're lucky
