Mohawk 600 222

I have a 600 .308. It's probably the same.

You will nees : Get a small (precision screwdriver) flathead

Looking at the back of the bolt. (Pull the bolt back). On the bootom left inside the housing (kind of between the bolt and the housing), there should be a little button (release mechanism). Will a small precision screwdriver, depress that little release and pull the bolt out.

Let me know if you get it out..

I couldn't locate a button anywhere. Maybe the 222 is a little different than the 308, thanks anyway.

All 600's are the same, trust me! There is not actually a button, but rather a lever. It is located at the bottom of the left bolt lug channel at the rear. You have to reach in about 2cm to push down on the front of the release lever as you pull back gently on the bolt. (I always use a small dimension allen wrench) It will slide right out when you get it right. Regards, Eagleye.

.........one of the many reasons I swore off of 600's after owning 8 or 10 of them...went to Model 7's....then swore off of them also and went to short 700's.......nary a 600/660/M7 in the safe anymore.....
