molds for 6.5x55

Cast Bullet Engineering in Australia has a number of molds designed fo 6.5x55. If you have a tight bore there is a very nice loverin type mold, .266132 and if a larger bore size 268149. There are others. CBE molds are very good.

Midsouth Shooters Supply has the Lee 170 'Criuse Missle' mould. It's designed a touch on the fat side for older mislurps. I've cast a number of bullets with it and they shoot fine so long as you don't drive them much over 1800 fps. Oh and it'll shoot thru a telephone pole lengthwise!

Lyman make 2 molds, one a Loverin design and the other a bore rider, both Gc. Avail from Buff. Arms and Midsouth Shooter's Supply.

Can we say PENETRATION?

Nice looking bullet but buyer needs to know what size it drops at, and how long the lee mold will last if used at all.

I've got Lee moulds with tens of thousands of bullets dropped. Never had an issue so long as they are prepped and smotthed properly and you don't beat on them too hard.

These moulds are cut purposely fat...mine drops at .2695. One of my Swede rifles has a practially new bore so I do need to size them bown a bit...both my others I actually tumble lube and shoot as cast with no gas check over a charge of 12 grains of Alliant 2400. Good accuaracy and no leading.
