Moly Bullet Lube

Molly coating can be used on most bullets.
It is said to reduce presure and reduce the need to clean as often.
It will however reduce velocity due to less friction.
 
Mollied bullets need more powder to produce the same velocities as un-mollied.
Moly is old school anyways.Look up Boron Nitride.It's way easier and less messy to put on,and much better.

are u sure? that kinda sounds wrong. usually friction slows stuff down.

not exactly. Peak pressures will be reduced due to the fact that it takes less force to move (squeese) bullet into rifles. Acceleration rates higher as well and as result pressures lower and so are velocities. You can use heavier bullets over the same amount of powder though.

I googled around a bit, it still goes on via tumbling bullets right? I saw some claims that it would be theoretically less sensitive to moisture retention than moly, is that the case? Lastly, is it ok for US export, or would I need a CDN source?
 
There is dry moly and moly lube for cast bullets, I have gone away from moly for the most part, moly grease lube on cast bullets is messy and no improvement over the newer carnauba lubes I use. I still offer dry lube treatment of cast bullets(moly) but in my testing, it showed no improvement of accuracy/vel. or leading.

Yep you can do it right in your media tumbler.It is a lot less sensitive to a lot of things.Moisture,heat etc.

Looks at the hexagonal boron nitride.1 pound will go along ways considering its very reusable.
