Are there different types of moly grease. Would it be ok to use the ones sold at Canadian tire or do i need to buy it from the air gun stores as theirs is a specialize product?

If you're relubing the piston tube or other high stress parts, it is often recommended to get the kind with 65% or more moly content, which is much higher than the large tube available at Canadian Tire. The high moly content lubes are usually available at air rifle dealers, sometimes from Amazon. Remember to use sparingly.

moly is a metal mixed in a grease, some lubricants will still detonate in the chamber, make sense to experiment with synthetic greases like krytox or others commercially available

I use loctite and its fine, its paste not grease. Grease will migrate and make a mess, it doesnt take much paste to do the job.
