What size did you use?

Have any to spare? ;-)
 
I played with the .5micron hbn last year, it seemed to help lower fouling, but it also caused more fps fluctuation which really showed at long range vs same load with bare bullet, and made seating bullets much harder.
I won't be playing with it this year.
 
We used to use moly about 10 years ago and I don't know why I stopped other than it's faster to load without having to coat bullets.
Moly sure made some mediocre rifles come alive sometimes ,I used it a lot in a 22br I had and an old 303 that shot better with it.

I may play with moly again this year with a 308 I just put together and see if it does anything.
Most of the moly I have comes from the states though not sure who sells it in Canada but there has to be some around do a google search.
 
I am a moly user.. but to be a moly user you need to be at the level of developing your own loads, not just reading them from the book. I find they need a little more powder to get listed velocity. it is a treat that barrels do not heat up near as fast.
 
I am developing a coated bullet load and been reading from other sources who successfully added Moly or HBN. I am currently using lubed hardcast for 9mm, Bullseye, 231 and Titegroup, WIN/CCI SPP and range brass 3.2-3.4 grs of powder for my CZ 85C and CZ 75 SP01 Shadowline. So far, I am happy with accuracy but I am trying to minimize smoke caused by the wax lube which is a known case in hardcast reloads. A lot of forums down south has been talking about Hitek coating, Powder Coat and Epoxy Paint coat. Forums in Europe seems to discuss this same idea. From the far east, Teflon coating seems to be popular. Here in Canuckstan, we have yet to see these options. We know and have access to Moly and HBN but not to these newer and popular coatings.
