I have 3, 2 completed rifles (.375 H+H & .358 Norma Mag.), the 3rd will be at the 'smiths shortly and will be a .404 Jeffery.
The biggest thing to keep in mind with MRC is that you are NOT buying a high priced custom action like a WFF Hein, or Stuart Satterlee etc. People get gonch all bunched up, when they buy one & realize that they are a little "rough around the edges". Some need a little work to get to feed what ever it is your feeding it, some are a little rough on cycling. Mine all were, but I knew this before hand, and was/am satisfied now, and really it was minimal work involved to get it so I likey.
Some have weak firing pin assemblies, some have/had faulty safeties, and all of mine have triggers which I am not overly impressed with. The good news is, is they will replace any faulty parts for free (or have for me anyways) and the trigger can be replaced with a quality aftermarket job.
Also remember that they are virtually the exact footprint as a Mod 70 Winny. I replaced my extractors with machined good quality ones from Williams, I also got a couple different magazine followers from Midway to ensure proper feeding & ejection, I replaced one weak firing pin with a Winchester factory one. Soon they will all have aftermarket triggers, as 2 different 'smiths have reworked to their limit, the 2 I have, and I still dont like them. Not much too make them run real good, at a fraction of the cost of one of the ones I listed earlier.
I also emery clothed the feed rails to smoothen things up, and sat on the couch for a couple hrs with each cycling the bolt while watching a Hockey game........I really like them now!
Also, word of caution here, I had a extremely horrible experience with one of Montana Riflemans barrels, & would never ever get another, nor recommend them.
