I keep seeing people talking about these, but I can't seem to track one down. Does any one have any suggestions? The only person who sold them so far was Kevin weaver out of the US and he doesn't make them any more. Also, any other suggestions to cut weight on my sheep gun would be appreciated. Thanks!

That's the only guy that I know of and stupidly I procrastinated ordering one and now it's too late.

The bolt handle threads into the bolt body so an aluminum or titanium one could be made easily. I know there were several guys making them at one time.

Bummer. That's kind of what I thought. I've got a Ti ascent style bolt handle on order from a fabricator in the US. Shaves a couple ounces and looks pretty neat. I sure wish I could find a trigger guard though. I wonder if the aluminium ascent guard would work....

For those Montana owners looking for an Aluminium trigger guard, I found a machinist in Oregon that is currently making them. The qc and fitment is pretty good, from what I've found from other forums. His name is willie and he owns CV machinists and can be reached at cvmw@earthlink.net if you are interested. I'll keep you posted.

Happy hunting.

I can't see an Aluminum bolt handle being a good idea, any reports from someone who tried one?

Funny this thread came up. I contacted Willie back in June 2013 about his aluminum trigger guards and at the time he was supposed to run a batch in August. Fast forward to today and I get an email from him asking if I still wanted one as he's finally filling that back order.

Thanks for the links! I'm going to get the trigger guard for sure and maybe the handle as well.

Any one here change the handle on their Kimber yet? How hard is it to remove?

Well I received my aluminum trigger guard a couple weeks ago and finally got around to installing it tonight. Fits perfectly and feels significantly lighter than the original. The only issue I had was that I had to grind the rear action screw down a thread or so because it sits deeper in the new aluminum guard and was hitting the cocking piece.

Over all I'm pretty pleased with it. I can post pics tomorrow if any one would like to see.
