I said I'd post up my thoughts on this rifle on another thread and with all the recommend a .375 H&H stuff going on around here now's as good a time as any.
Anyways I always wanted to give one of these a go for years , the concept sounded great but the manufacturer certainly had some issues in their early days with customer service and wait times, The reviews have got better and
some high profile gunscribe/hunters had some good things to say.
Weight was 7lbs 3 oz out of the box, trigger factory set at under 3 lbs , a set of talley lightweights and a new bushnell 4500 elite 2.5x10 and its still acceptable to pack around all day. A heck of a lot lighter than my last H&H , a zkk 602.
70 rounds down range so far , no hiccups whatsoever. Feeds , extracts and ejects perfectly. Good recoil pad , lots of texture on the stock to keep the hands from slipping and the stock itself is far nicer and fits far better than the club on my last model 70 extreme weather.
Accuracy is good, 3 into an inch reliably with federal blue box ammo, the 270 weldcore PP's over 4350 run 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 for three and it has shown a preference thus far for H4350 and flat based bullets.
It shoots the sierra 300 boat tails well as well as the speer 270's but I'll run the woodleighs hunting at least for now.
Barrel's a fat bugger with a #5 contour but it points well with the weight out front and I like it.
Its got some nice features , works as advertised and its been relegated to the keeper pile.
