Monte Carlo for Enfields???

Has anybody handeled one of these. Is it worth the $130 shipped???

Helps with cheek-weld ;) (though I think you can find a used SMLE with a Monte-Carlo stock for not that much more than the $130 shipped, IMHO!.....:wave

I've never ordered from Boyd's, personally (I went the other route, mentioned above).....:yingyang:

I bought one for my #1 Mk.III last year. They will require some final fit and finishing. The butt stock turned out all right, however the forend fit was terrible, and the colour was way off. Both stocks were walnut, but one side of the forend was as white as birch while the other side darkend nicely after I applied the linseed. First and last time buying wood from Boyds for a Lee-Enfield. A few years ago, I bought a Ramline synthetic stock. The action just dropped right in no fitting or finishing required.
