Hey all,

Thought I'd drop a line and say hello to everyone. I am currently awaiting my PAL acceptance, hoping that it doesn’t get prolonged longer than the 27 days. Great site, spend a week browsing the net only to find you guys already have all the info I needed right here.

I have wanted to get involved in this sport & hobby for ever but have been made to feel that it was wrong somehow. It's real nice to see a community of local people here helping each other out, participating in what they love as a team.

I'm thinking about joining ctvsp or ctm so any tips or advise you guys have to lend would be appreciated. I'm easy to recognize, I'll be the guy drooling over your high caliber pistols waiting for my day to come...haha

Cheers all !

Safe shooting.

Great to see new people joining the sport, despite all the bad press as of late!
Don't let anyone tell you there is anything wrong with enjoying a shooting sport! :dancingbanana:

another vote here for CTM. Nothing personal against the other local clubs, but I like the installations and its a bit "roomier"

Welcome aboard!

Was a member at ctvsp before, have nothing against the place or the people but ctm does feel better. Plus I can bring my whole arsenal there while ctvsp doesn't have the facilities to let me shoot rifles. Perhaps you are only interested in pistols for now but trust me you WILL catch the AR bug and/or the "I only need one more" syndrome soon enough and you will want a place to shoot them. :D

X2 for "Centre Recreatif D'Armes A Feu De Montréal"

Welcome to CGN Blacknismo and enjoy your stay with us.

I have been a member at "Centre Recreatif D'Armes A Feu De Montréal" since it has opened. Great place to shoot and knowledgeable people on hand.

Two thumbs up.

Regards
Robert

CTM website is:

http://www.crafm.com/

Excellent ventilation, friendly atmosphere, great staff, lots of cool toys for sale or rent, 50 yard rifle and 25 yard pistol bays, frequent courses available and most importantly the coffee from the machine is not bad.....

Just dress warm as the temp in the bays is a bit low but them I'm turning into a old man when cold is conserned.....

Frank is about ready to start charging me rent....

Good info Vondnik,

So you would say that the ventilation is better at CTM? I have been reading a bit too much on the sport (I'm not shooting but still need to be involved somehow...) and I have come across numerous articles about lead contamination at indoor ranges? Anybody have any take on that ?

yup CTM is barnd freaking new so the ventillation in more up to date, i dont have anything against CTVSP but i like the CTM installation way better. why dont you go to the 2 place to pay a visit and decide for yourself
