Riden, Ridens two boys, Brent and I went out last weekend and had a great time.

Thought I'd share some pics of the weekend before and of the hunt weekend

Hope you enjoy.



This is my oldest son Keith and I. He's just chompng at the bit to get out so over the next few years he can come out and help set up camp the week before. But soon he'll be carrying a tag as well.

This my bull. Young two year old at 325-350 yds with my BLR in .308 with a 165 Interbond packed under 39 grains of 3031.



Had a broken antler but no matter. He'll be a great eater

And finally, our caravan out. This is our hunting partner Brent. He can build anything out of a polar tree and baler twine.

congrats on the moose man!! i know a guy who uses a .243 for deer, and doesnt hesitate to use it on moose either. SHot my fist moose with a .308, well done

That's about how long it usaully takes for him to catch on. Nothing unusaul here.

he must have twitched from the shoulder to help with the bullet speed on that 308. Everyone knows 308 can't kill moose. That's why I got one. Every time I come home empty handed, I balme it on the cartridge.....

You can kill a moose with a .308, but not if its a lever or semi.

very true Blargon, we don;t run our moose down with dogs out west either or is that just Deer out east? never can remember.......
